THINK3D exhibits its offerings to Indian Navy officials on the occasion of the golden jubilee of Naval Dockyard.

As Naval Dockyard is celebrating the golden jubilee of their existence, they invited THINK3D team to set up a stall and exhibit our offerings to the various dignitaries visiting the Naval Dockyard. We demonstrated our 3D Scanning, Metal 3D Printing, SLS 3D Printing, CNC Machining services to the dignitaries visiting the Naval Dockyard.

THINK3D has been associated with Indian Navy over the last 3 years helping the Navy officials in their indigenization efforts. We have been supplying impellers, 2D drafts, creating 3D models from the existing parts, doing R&D projects on their behalf, supplying them interesting miniature gift items. We also trained the Naval officials on 3D Printing technology, how it helps in innovation and indigenization efforts and so on.

Visitors are mightily impressed with kind of innovation we are enabling through our technologies and services. For various products like submarine impellers for which no CAD file was available, we did reverse engineering, developed the CAD file and then 3D Printed the same in a new material and handed it over to the Navy officials. The project that was supposed to take 6 months in traditional manufacturing process was completed in a matter of 3-4 days. During Corona crisis, we also developed a new mask design and manufactured the same for Navy team. We worked closely with the Navy officials in designing the mask and used injection moulding technology to manufacture the masks in bulk. Visitors appreciated the kind of innovative work we did for Navy.

All in all, the event was a huge success. Higher officials from New Delhi visiting the Naval Dockyard were mightily impressed with the kind of innovative work we have been doing and assured lot of indigenization work in future.
