3D Printed figurines of Linkin Park Band

In the past few years’ 3D printing has drawn a lot of attention from the media. With the drop in the prices, these printers have become affordable for anyone and everyone who wishes to own them. These printers have now joined the popularity charts with mobiles phones and laptops, so considering this technology as a mainstream technology wouldn’t be wrong.

Among the most recent developments in the technology which also proves that 3D printing has already entered the mainstream is the release of 3D printed figurines of the popular rock band Linkin Park for their fans. In the past there have been many companies that have printed out 3D figurines of individuals and also a few that put the face of the customer on a super hero. These have attracted a lot of people and of course there is an immense amount of charm involved to flaunt to your family the replica of yourself.

So Linkin Park has collaborated with a German company named Staramba, to make these figurines. Last year in Berlin the German company 3D scanned the faces of all the band members and announced that these figurines will be out as collectibles for the bands Carnivores Tour. Staramba offers figurines in different prices and sizes. The members whose figurines will be made are:

  • Mike Shinoda – vocals, keyboards, piano, rhythm guitar
  • Chester Bennington – vocals
  • Rob Bourdon – percussion, drums
  • Brad Delson – lead guitar, keyboards
  • Dave Farrell “Phoenix” – bass guitar, backing vocals
  • Joe Hahn “Mr. Hahn” – keyboards, backing vocals, turntables, samples, programming

These figurines are available in 1:5 scale and 1:10 scale. The 1:5 scale figurines weigh approximately 30 oz and are 15 inches tall. The price of these figurines is fixed at $499. These are being print out in limited numbers. If you are a fan of the group but the price of the figurine is a bit too much for you then you can opt for the 1:10 scale figurines. These figurines are 7.5 inches tall and weight around 5.5 oz. The price of these is quite nominal $149. Now since the company is rolling out figurines of six different member of the rock band, it’s quite natural to get confused, which one to buy? So this problem has also been taken care of by the company. You can buy the entire band on stage figurine at 1:20 scale. With this you can own all the six members at a price which is quite trivial $295.

All the print outs would be in high quality polymer clay which would be made in layers in full color. Since the customer is paying a sufficient amount of money for these figurines the company is packing these figurines in a lavish gift box along with a certificate of authenticity. The company has partnered with FedEx for shipping their products. The products are expected to reach the customers within 14 days of purchase. What are you waiting for? Buy your favorite artist and flaunt it to your family and friends.
