How to calibrate the Medit i500?
  • Turn on the i500 and connect the device to the software.
  • Run calibration Wizard from the file Menu > Setting > Calibration
  • Prepare the Calibration Tool and i500.
  • Turn the dial of the calibration position.
  • Put the tip of the i500  into the calibration tool.
  • Click Next to start calibration process.
  • When the tip is mounted in the correct position, the system will automatically aquire the data at the position.
  • When data acquisition is completed at the positioion 1 turn the dial to the next position.
  • Repeat the steps for positions.
  • When the data aquisition is completed at the last position the system will automatically calculate and show the calibration result.
Why are nearby objects scanned with more detail than far away objects?

The scanner's view is projective, meaning closer objects are seen with greater detail than objects that are further away. Basically, the scanner operates the same way as our eyes. As such, an object that is one inch in size and close to the scanner can be seen better than the same object that is farther away from the scanner.

What temperature range is suitable for the scanner?

The scanner should not be operated outside of the specified temperature range. The scanner's design specifications call for temperatures between 5°C and 40°C for optimal use. Higher or lower temperatures may alter the scanner's performance, and in extreme deviations from the defined specification, the scanner may not work at all.

What is the resolution of scans from Solutionix C500?

Solutionix C500 is optimized for scanning small- to medium-sized objects. With dual 5.0MP cameras, theSolutionix C500 provides excellent data quality at a high resolution, making it the most user-friendly 3D scanner on the market.

What is the measuring area of Solutionix C500?

Solutionix C500 is available with different levels of detail. The measuring areas of this sensor can be changed easily, covering a range of different part size.  Those are 90 / 175 / 350/500  mm.

What is the resolution of Solutionix C500?

0.028 / 0.056 / 0.110 / 0.157 mm Respective of scan volume.

Why does the 3D view turn white and nothing is visible when I get the scanner very close to an object?

This happens if you get closer than the scanner's minimal defined distance (15 inches).
